Задание 3

a) Read the examples and complete sentences 1-3. Then describe the living room above. Use adjectives. — Прочитай примеры и дополни предложения 1—3. Затем опиши гостинную комнату на картинке.

• There’s a sofa in the living room. — Есть софа в комнате.
• There are some cushions in the living room. — Есть подушки в комнате.
• There aren’t any chairs in the living room. — В комнате нет стульев.
• Are there any books in the living room? — Есть ли в комнате книги?

1. We use a(an) in the singular. — Мы используем a(an) в единственном числе.
2. We use some in affirmative plural. — Мы используем some в утвердительных предложениях со множественным числом.
3. We use any in the negative and interrogative. — Мы используем any при отрицании и вопросе.

Ответ:

There is a living room in the picture. There’s a green sofa in the living room. There are some cushions on the sofa. There is a fireplace in this room. There aren’t any chairs in the living room, but there is an armchair near the fireplace. We can see a white table in the center of the living room with some books, some flowers in a vase and a newspaper on the table. Also we can see a green lamp on a coffee table. There are some paintings on the walls and a carpet on the floor.

На картинке гостиная. В ней есть зеленая софа. На софе есть несколько подушек. В комнате есть камин. Здесь нет стульев, но есть кресло у камина. Мы можем увидеть белый стол в центре комнаты с книгами, цветами в вазе и газетой на нем. Также мы можем увидеть зеленую лампу на кофейном столике. На стенах есть несколько картин.

There is something on the table. Is there anything on the wall? Somebody has put the flowers into the vase. Is there anybody in the room? — На столе что-то лежит. Есть ли что-нибудь на стене? Кто-то поставил цветы в вазу. Есть кто-нибудь в комнате?

Are the sentences true to the picture? Answer the questions — Соответствуют ли предложения картине? Ответить на вопросы

Yes they do — Да соответствуют.

Задание 4

Look at the drawings. Where is the dog? — Посмотри на картинки. Где пес?

Ответ:

1. He’s in the box. — Он в коробке
2. He’s on the box. — Он на коробке
3. He’s in front of the box. — Он перед коробкой.
4. He’s behind the box. — Он за коробкой.
5. He’s under the box. — Он под коробкой.
6. He’s opposite the other dog. — Он напротив другого пса.
7. He’s next to the box. — Он рядом с коробкой
8. He’s between the boxes. — Он между коробками.

Примечание: Конечно же, в данном случае по отношению ко псу нужно употреблять местоимение it. Но если авторы заранее задают условие, что это пес мужского пола, то и мы будем использовать местоимение he.

Задание 5

Look at the living room and complete the sentences. — Посмотрите на гостиную и дополни предложения.

1. The lamp is on the table. — Лампа на столике.
2. There is a table in front of the sofa. — Стол перед диваном.
3. There is a window behind the sofa. — Окно за диваном.
